It has been too long between my posts. Life has thrown a lot my way. However, today in prayer I felt the Lord tell me to write. The word he gave me is to "stay the course" and the image he gave me was a rope that is being climbed. He is saying to keep your focus on Him and to stay the course.
We are all doing the very best we can do. Many of us including myself are on a health journey, maybe it is a job search, school related, or just life in general. God is telling you to stay the course and do not allow yourself to get distracted. The enemy likes to get us off course.
How many times have you been going along then the enemy sends in doubt, fear, or just causes you to question? You think you are doing the right thing and you have thoughts that " you are not good enough". Maybe it is thoughts of 'it is too hard" and " it will never work" or a 100 other things that are centered around doubt and fear. If you think on what the enemy is saying long enough you will talk yourself out of staying the very course that God put you on.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV)
..."casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,..."
When the enemy brings those thoughts to your head the Lord said that we can take authority over those thoughts and bring them captive. That means tell the devil that your thoughts belong to the Lord and then start remembering what the Lord has said.
2 Chronicles 15:7 (NKJV)
...."But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!"
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
...." 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
He reassures us that if we continue focused on God in everything we do, if we do not give up doing right, if we stay obedient no matter what the enemy throws our way that we will reap our harvest. That means we will accomplish all our goals. It comes to those that DO NOT GIVE UP. He said do not grow weary and I know we are going to feel weary, tired and sometimes we see nothing coming to fruit and you want to give up but the Lord says DO NOT GIVE UP. In due season you will reap, do not lose heart!
Trust the Lord today with all you have on your heart. Let it go and stop doing things in your own will and your own strength. The joy of the Lord is your strength!
