He is Risen! Happy Easter to everyone. Today I have been reflecting on our risen savior as we observe resurrection Sunday. Thinking about the sacrifice and what he did so that we would have a direct line to our God for repentence. He removed the divide and gave us a direct path to Him through his son Jesus Christ.
Jesus was prophesied in Gensis 3:15 AMP
“And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, And between your seed (offspring) and her [a]Seed; He shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you shall [only] bruise His heel"
This is said to be the first mention of the gospels. Man would have to go through floods and wars before God manifested himself as Jesus. He loved us so much they he came as a spotless lamb so that he would take our sin, our illness, our death.
John 3:16 16 AMP “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded[k] for our transgressions,
He was [l]bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes[m] we are healed.
(I challenge you today to read all of Isaiah 53)
He came to save us but it is MORE than that. He wanted us to have an abundant life. The word says he come to not only fulfill the law but to give us an abundant life in Him. You see there is nothing on this earth that can fill our void or completely fill our spirit. It is only through Jesus Christ that we are completed. He takes our sickness, he dries our tears, he comforts our sad hearts, he removes anxiety and he helps us to walk victorious lives. We walk in Victory when he is centered in all we do say speak or believe. Without Him we truly are nothing. He is light in the darkness.
I know some will say that sounds great but I am still sick, I am still worried or scared, there are still bad things that happen. He knew humans would have doubts, that we would miss it, that we would struggle so when he sacrificed himself for us, he gave us a direct line to God so that we just have to cry out to Him, repent before him when we miss it, pray to him and believe his promises. He gave us Grace, Mercy and Salvation in a perfect Lamb.
My friend you can walk this beautiful and hard life victorious in Jesus Christ. It is time to stop running from him and start running to Him. Heavenly Father, I am so sorry for going my own way. I ask that you would come into my heart today. I ask that you would carry me through and help me Lord. I repent of my sins right now through Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way and that he died for my sins, took the keys of hell and rose on the 3rd day. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. I ask for the Holy Spirit to fill me right now. I love you Jesus! Thank you Lord for your sacrifice. Thank you for forgiveness. Help me Lord to walk by your spirit and to do your will for my life. In Jesus name Amen!
