God is Faithful So Have Faith!

One of the fruits of the spirit is faithfulness. I think that if you have faith then it makes all the other fruits of the spirit so much easier. In a nutshell it comes down to having faith and trusting in his faithfulness to us as his believers. He is even faithful when you don't believe.

In his word it says

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Psalms 94:14

For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. I will not forsake them

Hebrews 13:5-6 Amplified ( My favorite Bible Version)

5Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” 6So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say,

“The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid.

What will man do to me?”

God is never leaves us. He is always with us. Sometimes we might have to wait. We will have our patience tested at times in this life. He never said we would not have trouble but that he would never leave us. When in Daniel Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fire the king was shocked because he saw the shadow of a 4th person. The fire did not burn them. It was their FAITH that saved them from the fire. When Daniel was thrown into the lions den because of his undying FAITH in God he was not killed. It is your faith in God, your trust in Him that will carry you through any storm.

Well, you say, that sounds nice but is that for today? Well God said his word does not change that it is the same yesterday today and forever. He said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed then you can tell the mountain to move and it will move. All of us have been given a measurable amount of faith. It is YOU that has to use that faith.

God says we are to walk by faith not by sight. It does not matter what you see on the outside. Does not matter the doctor report, what is happening at your job, what your coworkers say, or anyone. Those storms come but when you are in those storms keep your eye focused on Jesus and speak faith filled words over it. He says that if we believe in our heart then we shall have what we speak. So instead of speaking fear speak faith. Stand strong in faith, look that storm, that report, that whatever coming against you and tell it to move in Jesus name. Our God is bigger than your trouble so stop treating your troubles like they are bigger than your God!

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see

Let's Pray

Father God we come before you and repent of ever doubting you. We repent of times when we were not trusting you Lord. Anytime we allowed worry to overtake us Lord instead of believing in you Lord we are sorry. Father help us to get into your word. Help each of us Lord to grow our faith as we spend time with you Lord. Help us Lord to not allow ourselves to get so busy we become completely empty of you. Fill our hearts Lord and help us to have the faith to move our mountains. Remind us Lord of your goodness and may we speak faith filled words. Help us to know our authority over the devil and every spirit that would tempt us to doubt Lord or that would come against us. We thank you in Jesus Name!
